In 2020, Mary and her family purchased an 1887 Greek Revival house in Smithville, Texas. 401 Main quickly became a pandemic passion project, undergoing more than a year of extensive restoration and renovation. Meet Mary Bledsoe—the creative mind behind the MBDS studio

Mary began her career in design at Polo Ralph Lauren in 1988. By the late 90s, she transitioned to architectural projects that sparked a move into high-end retail and corporate office design on an international scale.

In 2018, Mary founded Mary Bledsoe Design Studio. As a multidisciplinary architectural firm, the studio has had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest companies, bringing each space to life with beauty, function, and attention to detail.

Mary’s work spans commercial and residential design, as well as product development, all with a commitment to crafting environments that tell a story. Her work is rooted in the belief that well-designed spaces bring people together and evoke a true sense of place.
